How to Turn a Wine Bottle into an Olive Oil Bottle
Choosing a Bottle
Really, any wine or champagne bottle will work, but it's better to choose one that does not have threads.
Step One: Soak
To get the labels off of your bottle, soak it in hot sudsy water. I like to bring some water to a boil in a kettle and add it because it speeds up the process. Depending on how hot you get your water, your label should peel off fairly easily within 5 minutes.
Scrub!
If there's any sticky residue, scrub it off using a brush. Now you should have a nice, clean bottle ready for oil!
Just Add the Top!
Now, that you have a clean bottle, just pop an olive oil dispenser spout on and you're good to go! Any olive oil dispenser will work as wine bottle openings are the same size as olive oil bottles. I like to use wine bottles as vegetable oil bottles because of their size.
